Crime Stop Jamaica is offering a $50,000 reward for information that will bring the person(s) responsible for setting the fires at Riverton Dump to justice. Anyone with information can call Crime Stop on 311 anonymously, you don’t have to give your name and your information is kept in the strictest confidence. You can also give information online on our website  In the 25 years since Crime Stop was launched no one has ever been compromised by calling Crime Stop.
In the first two months of this year seven illegal firearms have been recovered through tips received by Crime Stop. In addition, thirteen arrests have been made for several other crimes, which include illegal gambling for selling fraudulent Cash Pot, illegal sale of petrol, illegal electricity connections, arrests for uncustomed goods after many packets of illegal cigarettes were seized, along with the usual arrests for murder and illegal possession of a firearm. This has resulted from the work we have commenced with several partnerships, and we are committed to continuing to focus on these crimes which have generally been accepted by many.
Since the start of the year Crime Stop has seen an increase in the number of calls and success in arrests, and we want to thank all Jamaicans for your confidence in Crime Stop and commitment to ending the scourge of crime in whatever form it may take.
